COMPUTING SCIENCE
INTRODUCTION
Computing is an exciting and challenging subject of great economic and social importance. Almost all organisations now make use of computer equipment - from hand-held wireless PDAs to room-sized super-computers. Most computers are now capable of being connected to the Internet, providing unprecedented opportunities for accessing and processing information. There is therefore a demand - all over the world - for professionals trained in the use of computing software and hardware. This provides an enormous range of challenging opportunities for people with some experience in the use of computers as well as for fully skilled computer scientists.
